Empathy.

I was talking with my colleague yesterday. He was so depressed. His mother in law was confined in the hospital for four days now because of stroke. She was a dentist by profession, a widow with two children but since she was diagnosed with diabetes she stopped practicing. When they got married, his wife’s family depended on them. So now, he’s having financial problem since the hospitalization. If only his mother in law applied for disability insurance it would be a great help in times like this. I can’t help but feel for them. He and his wife is not just suffering from financial problems but emotional pain as well. I know I couldn’t help them financially but I hope my prayers and words of encouragement will at least help in a way.
