Looking Back

>> Aug 19, 2009

I remember one time when I was walking my way to the public transport station; It was already half past ten in the evening. I passed by the city plaza and saw groups of teenagers sitting around the fountain, chatting, playing skateboard, roaming around…busy. I felt sad. I remember when I was their age. Those were the times when people are still not busy like what we are now. Those where the times when we are not allowed to go out when the clock strikes nine. Entertainments are just the local television programs, and computer games like game and watch. There are no call center companies that forces people to be up 24 hours a day. Reports of teenage drug abuse are rare. Life is simple.

I guess people change as time change. But I’m happy that I was able to experienced the simplicity of life during my younger years. I just hope that the youth today will be able to have the time to look back to the past and not be drowned by technology. I hope that they will be able to see the value of their lives so that they may become the real hope of the next generation.
