The Philippines is one of the most in demand country for outsourced customer service. Every year, BPOs are increasing in numbers creating more jobs for call center agents and customer service representatives. Call center companies are like mushrooms sprouting here and there. I know this beneficial but in some ways it also has its disadvantages.
For one, due to the US economic downfall I believe more Americans need jobs. I’ve heard of an instance that one foreign customer got irate to our local agent. Why? Because the customer said that we “stole” the jobs that should’ve been for them. That was hard, but I understand why he said that.

Anyway, let’s just see what the government will do about this and what will be the future of BPOs in our country.
