Life Lessons

Sure enough, there’s no rich or poor when it comes to calamities. I was watching SNN last night and heard what Chokoleit, a popular comedian, said about his experience. He was also affected by the flood. The first floor of his house was drenched with water and mud and nothing was saved, even his plasma TV and plasma mounts. When one of his friends asked about his condition and he said that he was also hit by the flood, his friend commented…”What? you’re also affected? But you had a nice house…?” I won’t forget what he said in response to that comment. "Walang mayaman o mahirap pagdating sa mga ganitong sitwasyon. Hindi naman sasabihin ng baha na ay, maganda yung bahay na to, iiwas ako, no. All is fair in times like this. So wag na tayong maluho. The simpler the better.”
And I think he’s right. Life is more important than material things. And if we are blessed with so much, lets have the initiative to also bless others, share what we have when we know that we can help. Let’s do our part and give smiles to others in need.
