A Citizen's Duty
>> Apr 23, 2009
As responsible citizens we should do our duties and one is this. I know some of us look into filing taxes differently. I’ve heard several comments that the taxes that we pay do not always go to where it should be. Meaning, our taxes do not show results like various government projects that will benefit the people. That is due to the rampant corruption here in our country. Some people are even forced to cheat or lie about their actual taxes. They said it’s because they don’t see results! Some known personalities here are even charged by the Bureau of Internal Revenue for cases like this. But of course, some could get away through the help of their lawyers. Anyway, this boils down to one fact. We should be responsible citizens with regards to our taxes. If we’re clueless, we can always consult the experts. If you’re residing in San Diego, CA, you can ask an expert in tax law like a San Diego tax law attorney. Let’s educate our selves and be responsible citizens.

My Redeemer Lives
>> Apr 12, 2009
Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning
Who told the ocean you an only come this far?
Who showed the moon where to hide 'til evening
Whose words alone can catch a falling star?Well I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
All of creation testify
This life within me cries
I know my Redeemer livesThe very same God that spins things in orbit
He runs to the weary, the worn and the weak
And the same gentle hands that hold me when I'm broken
They conquered death to bring me victoryNow I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry
I know my Redeemer, He livesTo take away my shame
And He lives forever I'll proclaim
That the payment for my sin
Was the precious life He gave
But now He's alive
And there's an empty grave. And I know my Redeemer, He lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
This life within me cries
I know my Redeemer lives{Nicole C. Mullen}

Message from God
>> Apr 8, 2009
Listen-up: I am God!
Today I will be handling all of your problems.
Please remember that I do not need your help.
If the devil happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it.
Kindly put it in the SFJTD (something for Jesus to do) box.
It will be addressed in MY TIME -- not yours.
Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it or remove it.
Holding on or removal will delay the resolution of your problem.
If it is a situation that you think you are capable of handling, please consult me in prayer to be sure that it is the proper course of action.
Because I do not sleep nor do I slumber, there is no need for you to lose any sleep.
Rest my child.
If you need to contact me, I am only a prayer away.
Addendum -- Proverbs 30:5 (NKJ) "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him."
[ Author Unknown -- from Barbara J. Jackson, Tidbits Devotional (Bill Champion) ]

The impulse buyer in me
>> Apr 7, 2009
I went overspending last week. I bought something that I know I needed in the house but not that urgent. I don't have the money for that but I still bought it. I felt guilty :(
Anyway, the good news is...we'll have extra cash next payday! Our SL (sick leave) conversion will be given to us in advance. So that can compensate my impulsed buy. I will just have to stick to my budget for the rest of the week until next payday. And no more impulse buying...
Above All
Something for you for the Holy Week... :)
Above all powers
Above all kings
Above all nature
And all created things
Above all wisdom
And all the ways of man
You were here
Before the world began
Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders
The world has ever known
Above all wealth
And treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure
What You're worth
CHORUS:
Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all
Like a rose, trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all....

Good Advice from God
>> Apr 6, 2009
In my daily walk with God, he tells me lots of stuff. No, a mighty voice does not boom down from on high and shake the very foundations of my office with its power. This voice is subtle -- almost imperceptible -- and I can't hear it unless I'm really listening.
Sometimes the voice comes as a gut feeling -- other times as the solution to a dilemma. The voice comes to everyone who seeks God's counsel. The voice of God can even be heard in our trials and tribulations. If you don't get something that you really want, maybe God's trying to tell you something. Maybe you'd better listen.
While God's voice reaches the Christian in many different ways, it's message is always consistent. You can always tell that God is talking to your heart instead of Satan whispering in your ear. This is because God never changes. His Word is the same today as it was 4,000 years ago when the Patriarchs were flourishing. If you have any doubts as to who is really talking to you, a quick flip of your Bible will provide the answer. If the message is true with Scripture, then the words are truly from God and not the devil.
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash." (Matthew 7:24-27)
