On Stock Investment.

>> Jul 30, 2009

I was greeted by two men as I was going up the stairs to the office this morning. They asked me about a certain office (which I’m really not familiar with nor heard of). They told me that they came to buy some stocks. I didn’t have an idea that there’s an existing stock broker or the like that is holding office in our building so I was not able to help them. As far as I know the building next to us is the right target since it’s the Philippine Stocks Exchange. Small problems like this can be avoided if they only knew about PowerOptions. PowerOptions offers the convenience and control required to automatically sort, filter, and analyze stocks to find the best investments. They offer various tools for buyers along with a complete suite of educational materials, covered calls, and customer support. I think it’s one of the best way to find, compare, analyze, and make money with regards to stocks markets and trading.

Medicine Price Cuts

>> Jul 29, 2009

Pres. GMA assured a half the price rollback on selected medicines, including those taken by the elderly. The reduction of the prices of these vital medicines is part of the administration’s implementation of the Cheaper Medicines Law. This is good news especially to those who are poor and are suffering from different kinds of diseases and are taking numerous kind of medicine a day. So, yesterday the Department of Health (DOH) already named the first five medicines that would be subjected to compulsory price cuts which will be implemented starting Aug. 15, 2009. The list includes anti-cancer medications, anti-high blood medications, medication against common infection, and an anti-high cholesterol medicine.

I wish that they will approved an order that will give discounts for various medical equipment as well. We all know that some patients also buys medical equipment like diabetic supplies and equipments for daily living aids like those equipments at Allegro Medical. Anyway, still, this is good news to all of us right?

My Tocco.

>> Jul 28, 2009

Ever since I got hold of my tocco, I got used to touch screen phones :D. I love my tocco. Hubby gave this to me as a gift when he return from Riyadh. Some people say it's a bit similar to iphone. Comments that kinda make me proud of it. The widgets are cool and it's very much user-friendly. I only encountered a little problem when I was buying some accessories for it. It's a wee bit pricey though not as much as the price of those iphone accessories. An earphone for my tocco cost me almost $21, same with it's charger if I want to buy an extra. But it's okay. I'm loving my tocco and so far it's one of my favorite gadget. :)

Brace problem.

For now we’re having a little problem with hubby’s braces. It needs to be adjusted. He got his braces when he was working in Riyadh and got dental discounts for it since he’s an employee of the hospital. He was given 50% discount plus free consultation and adjustments. But since he’s been here for three months now, his braces were not properly adjusted and when I consulted a dentist, she suggest to removed the braces and replaced it with a new set since as policy they are not allowed to touched braces that were from other dentist. Do you think it’s reasonable?

A little bit sad...

I’ve seen some bathroom fixtures at handyman last week and I told hubby I really want that for our house. I just don’t know if those were Delta faucets but I love the designs. It will surely look good to our new house. But sad to say, we still don’t know yet when we can transfer. It will depend upon hubby’s new working contract. I’m really sad. We’ve been informed by the developer of the house that HDMF did not release the loan though it was approved because of some working contract issues of hubs. So until now, we’re praying and really hoping for God’s intervention.

Living without a helper.

Since our helper left we started doing every household chores. I'll say it's quite tiring. We wash our clothes during Wednesdays and Saturdays, wash the dishes, iron our clothes and even drop by the market to buy some ingredients after office for our dinner and of course, personally run some errands. Last Saturday, we did some general cleaning. We washed some heavy blankets, pillows, comforters and area rugs. Then last Sunday, I did the ironing of our clothes. I felt that time moves so fast during weekends that there are times, we have to just stay home rather than go to the mall to have some fun.

It's not the normal routine for us but I know we can survive without a house help for the meantime.

The service warranty of our microwave oven almost expired last month, I i slipped my mind that it’s about to expire. I just remembered about it when I saw our broken microwave oven last week when I have to use. *Sigh* It really needs to be fixed. Good thing the store where I bought it called me and told me about their promo. They offered me an extended service plan. Now I don’t need to cram. But if it’s hopeless to be fixed. I think I have to prepare some cash to buy a new one. Tsk tsk!

Goodbye MJ...

>> Jul 8, 2009

We finally bid farewell to the King of Pop. But this music keeps on ringing on my mind....

Man in The Mirror (Michael Jackson)

I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .

As I, Turn Up The Collar On My
Favourite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowin' My Mind
I See The Kids In The Street,
With Not Enough To Eat
Who Am I, To Be Blind?
Pretending Not To See
Their Needs
A Summer's Disregard,
A Broken Bottle Top
And A One Man's Soul
They Follow Each Other On
The Wind Ya' Know
'Cause They Got Nowhere
To Go
That's Why I Want You To
Know

I'm Starting With The Man In the Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change his Ways
And No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change)
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah)

I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish
Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No
Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,
Pretending That They're Not
Alone?

A Willow Deeply Scarred,
Somebody's Broken Heart
And A Washed-Out Dream
(Washed-Out Dream)
They Follow The Pattern Of
The Wind, Ya' See
Cause They Got No Place
To Be
That's Why I'm Starting With
Me
(Starting With Me!)

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Ooh!)
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change His
Ways
(Change His Ways-Ooh!)
And No Message Could've
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .)
Change!

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror,
(Man In The Mirror-Oh
Yeah!)
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Better Change!)
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make The Change)
(You Gotta Get It Right, While
You Got The Time)
('Cause When You Close Your
Heart)
You Can't Close Your . . .Your
Mind!
(Then You Close Your . . .
Mind!)
That Man, That Man, That
Man, That Man
With That Man In The Mirror
(Man In The Mirror, Oh Yeah!)
That Man, That Man, That Man
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Better Change!)
You Know . . .That Man
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Oh Yeah!)
Gonna Feel Real Good Now!
Yeah Yeah! Yeah Yeah!
Yeah Yeah!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Ooooh . . .)
Oh No, No No . . .
I'm Gonna Make A Change
It's Gonna Feel Real Good!
Come On!
(Change . . .)
Just Lift Yourself
You Know
You've Got To Stop It.
Yourself!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
I've Got To Make That Change,
Today!
Hoo!
(Man In The Mirror)
You Got To
You Got To Not Let Yourself . . .
Brother . . .
Hoo!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
You Know-I've Got To Get
That Man, That Man . . .
(Man In The Mirror)
You've Got To
You've Got To Move! Come
On! Come On!
You Got To . . .
Stand Up! Stand Up!
Stand Up!
(Yeah-Make That Change)
Stand Up And Lift
Yourself, Now!
(Man In The Mirror)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Aaow!
(Yeah-Make That Change)
Gonna Make That Change . . .
Come On!
(Man In The Mirror)
You Know It!
You Know It!
You Know It!
You Know . . .
(Change . . .)

Be healthy.

>> Jul 1, 2009

Losing weight will not include my list of problems (if ever I'll have one now). But for others, trying to lose those excess weights and fats takes one a lot of work, and what I mean is really HARD work. Why? Because first, one needs to go to the gym and shed some sweat. Run the thread mill or any other machines available. Then if the person is really determined to lose weight fast, he needs to monitor what he eats. There are several kinds of diet for different kinds of person. One needs to choose what’s best and applicable for him. And of course, if exercise and diet does not convinced him to shed off those fats fast, he needs to look also for the best weight loss supplements available in the market.

See? A lot of work and sacrifice! So if you don’t want to experience this, try to be healthy and stay on your normal weight. Avoid too much fats and sweets. There are a lot of diseases that overweight people are prone to, so as early as you can, avoid it. Always remember that good health is wealth!

Step to take

The husband is pursuing the career of a Safety Officer. He was actually promoted in that position when he worked in a hospital in KSA although he doesn’t have the degree on that. He was qualified because of his hard work and he was a fast learner. But to be a certified Safety Officer, he needs to take up a degree on Public health and safety. My brother in law recommends a school that offers crash course for that in Makati but since hubby is always busy, I told him to check for an online degree at Capella University. It’s an accredited and fully online university that is a leading provider of master’s and PhD degrees for working adults. We’ll see what would be more convenient for him. At least he has choices.

Techy

The little girl is getting techy, lol! She can even use now our digital camera. We have a Sony T70 Touch screen camera which the husband brought home with him. And guess what? Within the day, she already knows how to operate it. Last Sunday we went to the mall to have her ears checked then we ate at a Japanese restaurant. I brought the camera with me and she took this shot of her dad:
