Her School Christmas Presentation.

>> Dec 29, 2009

My eyes are tired analyzing and studying the insurance quote that our agent-friend gave us. Well, she told me to just study it and see if we’ll be interested to get..and so I’ll pause for a while. I just remembered that I haven’t posted pictures from little girl’s school Christmas party last December 18. Her class had a simple presentation for their simple Christmas party and I’m so proud to say that this time, she didn’t have tantrums. She was able to perform well with the group. She remembered all their steps though they only practiced for one day.

We we're so excited to see her perform and we're happy that she did well...

Hello!

I haven't been going online lately and that's because I"m busy. Yup. Although its vacation and I'm just staying at home, the holiday keeps me busy. And since I'm on a vacation, I really make sure that most of my time is spent with my husband and daugther. And of course, It's really hard to not have a helper in the house. I am forced to work...hehe, I'm now complaining...

Anyways, Christmas is over and now we're preparing for the New Year. How was your Christmas? Wonderful is an understatement. Ours was just simple but meaningful. It's because after two years of not celebrating it with the husband, it's different this time. We have him this year. We did not prepare food at home since we only spend Christmas eve at my parent's house but we have a wonderful celebration.

We did have our own family time before the Christmas dinner. We went to the carnival at the nearby mall so that our daughter could play for a while. We rode the roller coaster, ate ice cream, and strolled in the park. The time we spent together is one thing I won't forget this Christmas.

Be CAREFUL.

Two days before New Year and I know everyone is already starting their preparation. Here in the Philippines the New Year is always welcomed with a bang. There are fireworks displays in many parts of the country and some people even spend thousands of pesos of fireworks just for personal use.

It’s just sad sometimes that welcoming the New Year can also cause harm to some people even children. Many accidents related to fireworks and firecrackers are reported yearly and it increases every year despite the government’s warnings. As early as yesterday, there were already reported accidents related to new year that’s why the government is now making sure that all the hospitals will be on alert. All the emergency medical assistance needed is already on standby.

It’s sad if you will welcome the New Year with incomplete hands or fingers right? So let’s all be careful and avoid misuse of firecrackers so that everyone will have a really happy New Year!

She's Excited

>> Dec 22, 2009

Three days before Christmas! And I guess some people are still busy with their Christmas shopping and gift giving. Speaking of gifts, my daughter is the one with lots of gifts under our Christmas three and she can’t wait till Christmas to open them. Last night she was so eager to open one of the boxes. I told her that it’s not yet time. She needs to sleep four more nights before opening the Christmas presents. After our conversation, she lay on the sofa, closed her eyes counted one to four then shouted, “mommy, I sleep four times na!”. I can’t help but laugh. She’s really that excited to open her gifts!, lol!

Anyway, I digress. I’m thankful that I received some tasks today. I’ll just finish my motorhomes tasks then I’m done. I want to go home early today and enjoy the rest of the day with my daughter.

Dreaming for a vacation.

>> Dec 18, 2009

A lot of people are now busy with their Christmas preparations. Its seven days before Christmas thus, the Christmas rush. It’s going to be the start of the work vacation next week as well and I’m sure a lot of families are now preparing for reunions and family vacation. As for my family, we’ll just stay and celebrate Christmas at home. My present condition is not permitting us to go anywhere even though I would really love to experience one of the cancun family vacations at Riviera Maya. I’ve read good reviews for the place and I’m curious to try.

Well… anyway, maybe by summer next year we’ll be able to have a family get away somewhere. I’ve not been into any faraway place this year so I think it’s not splurging if we go some good place next year.

Hmm…I guess I’ll start saving for this plan.

Lunch Time at Seaside Paluto

>> Dec 17, 2009

Here's a picture taken during lunch time just a while ago. My office mate who was named Employee of the Year (the one with the orange ID lace) treated us for lunch at Sharmilah (Seaside Paluto) in J.Vargas. It's the version of Dampa in Libis.

We had a sumptuous lunch. Everyone was filled to the brim, lol! I'm just not able to take pictures of the food since everytime the waiter put down a platter, the contents were gone in seconds, lol! We had the all-time favorite Buttered Shrimp, Grilled Squid, Salmon (Sinigang sa Miso), Grilled Pork Liempo and Mango Salad...all were yummy!

This is what I love during December and of course the bonding between our group....

Tomorrow we'll have our Monito-Monita Revelation Day. I ordered lots of delicious food as well. Kainan ulit! :D

Thoughts on debt consolidation...

>> Dec 8, 2009

Christmas time means a lot of spending as well. I’m sure for some, they would even go to the level of spending beyond their means just so that they can give gifts to everyone. Some would even spend up to the maximum limit of their credit cards. Then after the Christmas season they will be shocked with the bills that they will receive. The usual scenario….. And believe it or not, it actually happened to my friend. Now he’s considering debt consolidation of all her debts and loans.

It’s true that if a person will not manage his finances well, tendency is, he’ll get drowned and will not be able to get out. And getting out of debt can be a real challenge. That’s why if a person decides to finally get rid of all his debts he should try seeking help from debt consolidation companies. These companies can give you options on how to finally pay off all your bills through debt consolidation loans. This way all bills will be combined so that one will just have to pay one bill with one monthly interest.

Financial management as I’ve said, is challenge and getting out of debt is a choice that one can only fulfill when one is really willing to stay out of debt. So before spending for anything, think trice.

I'm a registered nurse by profession. As we know well, this profession is globally in demand. My plan is to take this great opportunity so I can land in the US as immigrant and find a nursing job. Likewise it is my desire that I can bring my family with me. Given this rare chance, I wish to spend time with my family in one of the hotels in destin fl. How I really pray that this dream would someday become a reality through the divine will and plan God.

Would you like to have a collapsible RFO Home?

Nowadays, getting a home of your own is quite a challenge. Even though some advertisement of our government institution encourages the people to apply for a housing loan, the actual process is long and tiring and for a simple family who only earns meager income monthly, sometimes it’s impossible. I wonder if a ready for occupancy, compact, collapsible manufactured home will be available, how many people would buy it? I guess if that kind of home will be available, the market will be huge: D. But don’t you think it’s feasible?

I saw these beautiful rugs that were on sale at 70% off. But since I don’t have yet the cash to buy one, I just placed it on my list of to-buys. We need a new rug for our living room and new sets of curtains.

There’s a lot of sale and great deals during this time of the year..I only need to have a lot of cash :D I wish blessing will pour like rain this week :)

Getting Old

>> Dec 3, 2009

We were driving along Ortigas Avenue last week with my husband and daughter when we saw an old man and a woman along the street begging for money. The scene broke my heart… so I gave them some money when they knocked on our window.

I wonder if they still have relatives, because I know that here in my country we value the elderly. We still take care of them even though we already have our own family. We don't just leave them with no one to look out or take care of them. I know of some friends who still have their old parents living with them or if not provide a house for them. And they do that because they can't take that their aging parents will be wandering around by themselves.

In some parts of the world it's a different scenario. Maybe because of their busy schedules, some people had no choice but to send their elderly to nursing homes or care homes (like those in assisted living glendale ) and put them under the care of trusted caregivers but of course they do regular visit. I had a friend who works in an assisted living homes Arizona. She said that some of their patients were there because their relatives or children do not have enough time to take care of them specially those with health problems. My friend said that there are quite a number of elderly with assisted living in Arizona. Some still have their immediate family while others are visited by relatives.

This made me thinking…getting old is really inevitable that's why as long as we're young and strong, we need to nurture our relationships with our family so that when we reached that age, we will be assured that our children and relatives will take care of us whether with their own help or through an assisted living from care homes.

On Dieting

Would you know what are the top diet pills in the market today? I don't... lol! With all the claims of each pills and supplements out there, consumers maybe a little bit confused which one is the best and the most effective and the top of the line. I would recommend that you ask your physicians first before trying any diet pills and supplements. They should know better.
