Re-Grow

Some people say that there are no products that can really cure for hair loss except for a hair transplant. No shampoos or topical ointments, even expensive ones that can really cure this problem. Do you agree? I don’t really know but I hope that there is a way other than hair transplant. We all know that transplant cost too much. So for many people with hair loss problem, this can be their last option. My husband has this problem before when he came back from Riyadh, but after a few months his hair fall stopped and we can see new hair that are starting to grow even though we didn’t buy any medicine. Well, for me that’s a blessing. I just hope that new hair will continue to re-grow even if he returns to the Middle East. If not that will be a problem, lol!

When Reality Sinks In

I’ve a few more days to spend with my kids since next week, I’ll be returning to work. I’m sure I’ll miss them so much. I will surely miss my daughter. I know that when I’m back to working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, I’ll have less time bonding with her. I always enjoy our small talks with her silly imagination. I love how her eyes sparkle like diamonds whenever she tells me few of her exciting stories. And yes, I will surely miss my little boy. I know I will not be there always to witness his milestones…but that’s the life of a working mom, I have to live with it...sigh.

Back To Work

I’m going back to work next week after more than two months of maternity leave and I’m so happy because I’ve lost most of my pregnancy weight gain even without using a fat burner. All I did was a few exercises to strengthen my tummy and kegel exercises. I also watched my diet. Now, I can already wear almost all my pre-pregnancy clothes. I still have to work on my tummy to make it flatter but I know that won’t be hard. I’m so happy!

Beautiful In HIS Eyes

People nowadays especially the most of the women are very much conscious of their shape and physical looks. They said that they feel more confident if they can maintain their weight to a relatively acceptable measure. And for the obese or chubby ladies, they take some measures like taking some weight loss products to add to their list of solutions to trim their shape down and make them look sexy and fabulous. My sister in law is one of them. Her husband usually teases her because of her weight and big figure. She knows that her husband loves her despite her weight but she sometimes gets really conscious that she’s already thinking of taking some slimming capsules. Well, our looks sometimes really matter. And yes, we need to be beautiful for our husbands.

Disability Insurance

During my husband’s pre-departure orientation seminar (PDOS) before he leaves for Saudi Arabia, the facilitator invited somebody from the office of Social Security System (SSS). The gentleman talked about the programs and benefits of being a member of Social Security System. Their programs include several types of loans available for the members. And for the benefits, it includes the disability insurance. This simply means that every body part that will be lost or disabled on the job has a corresponding amount to be paid by SSS. I thought OFWs is no longer covered with this but I’m glad they are. It's a good benefit.

Clothing

Conservative group of people in our present society, including the oldies, are very much critical about urban clothing which for them does not fit anymore to our customs and traditions. For example, the typical Filipina is also called a Maria Clara and is supposed to wear Baro’t saya. In addition, the hippy outfits of the men are also defying the traditional clothing of a typical Filipino. These changes in clothing styles are influenced by the western countries. But in my opinion, I think we should not box ourselves to the conservative way of living and on the other hand, we should also look into the modesty of the clothing that we wear so as to maintain our dignified look.

Gold

There is a saying that goes, “He who has the gold, controls the people.” Gold is said to be a precious metal which is taking its control back again as far as safe investment in today’s declining economic condition is concerned. A lot of investors chose to buy gold coins to be sure of their bright future despite of economic unrest. For example, the analysts are considering the possibility in China regarding the increase in gold consumption for the coming years and that gold consumption is said to be twice the demand today for the next 10 years. While this may be true, I believe that we must always be wise in investing our estates not for ourselves but for the generation next to us. For this is better than to amass gold which has no eternal value if it is use selfishly and take advantage of others.

Custom-made

My sister in law’s husband is a very good carpenter. He made small cabinets for us ready to be installed before they left. He told us that if we want he’ll do the closet inside our rooms, tv stand, dividers and book shelves. So next month, we’ll buy the materials that he’ll need. We don’t want to buy those off the rack tv stands that were being sold at department stores and furniture shops. They are costly but are made from low quality materials. We’ve already experienced buying furniture like that and they didn’t last long. The bookshelves bowed and the our tv stand melted during the flood last year. So now, we opted for custom-built cabinets that we hope to stand the test of time.

Baby Proofing

It would be another expenses on our part but we’re planning to repair our garage floor before the summer ends. The cement in our garage is already warped and needs repair. The front yard needs slight repair as well. We thought of repairing it since the kids are growing and we don’t want them to play in a yard that is prone to accident. My daughter had several fall on the garage floor and it gave her bash and bruises. We don’t want it to happen all the time. We want a safe and kid-proofed home. I just hope that our expenses will be reimbursed.
