Girl Scout

>> Jul 28, 2010

My friend told e how stressed she was the other day. She was working in a call center as QA supervisor and she handles a team of agents. She told me that one of her agents collapsed at work. And since she’s the head of the team she was the one who did immediate response and first aid. It’s a good thing that they portable oxygen concentrator at work. It helped the patient before he was transferred to the nearby hospital. She was jokingly telling me that she’s like a girl scout-always ready. She was a kidney transplant patient and until now is taking maintenance but I’m surprised at how brave she was to handle the situation. She’s indeed a leader!

Bye-bye, Bulges!

>> Jul 27, 2010

When I gave birth I didn’t get my shape back fast so when I went back to work I sued girdles during my first week. I have to use it so that my clothes will fit and won’t show any embarrassing bulges, lol! But I must also admit, wearing one is uncomfortable, I can hardly breathe. I wonder what those girls on the 18th century feels when they are wearing their corsets. I guess it’s the same feeling. Well, I’m glad that I don’t wear girdles now. I’m more comfortable with my clothes and I don’t need to hide any bulges anymore. I’m so glad that I’m back to my pre-pregnancy weight and shape.

A Good Investment

>> Jul 25, 2010

Gold is one of the precious metals that people trust. Whether it’s in the form of coins, bullion or jewelry people love to collect them, including me. I love gold jewelries so I collect them. But if only I have enough money I would buy gold bullion. Having even just one can give you enough security already especially if you are buying it to invest. And if you’re like me who wants to buy one, you can trust that the United States Gold Bureau can deliver your order right to your doorstep or to your preferred bank safely. It’s one of the leading trusted precious metal supplier so can be sure that you’re dealing with the right company for your precious metal investment.

No Gift.

>> Jul 24, 2010

I don’t go to the men's polo shirts section of the malls now. Actually I miss it. I often give polo shirt for my husband when there’s an occasion because he loves wearing polo shirts. But now that he’s far, I didn’t buy one for him. It’s our fifth wedding anniversary last July 23 and we just spent the day talking online. No special dinner, no gifts…sad :( hehe.

Waiting for Glee's Season 2

>> Jul 8, 2010

Do you have your favorite Glee episodes? I have my list of faves and one is the “Preggers” (episode 4) I just found it cute to see the baseball players dancing to the tune of “Single Ladies” and Kurt’s pretense to be one of them..(his dad surely knows that he’s gay because he can’t be a real baseball player with his physic, he needs a testosterone booster to get muscles, lol!)

Anyway, I can’t wait to watch Glee’s second season. I watched all 22 episodes of the first season and I definitely love it. I didn’t know about it at first so I had no idea what’s it all about, until my friend told me to watch it. When I started watching, I was hooked and now I can’t wait to see the coming episodes. I’m curious about it having Charice this time. I hope it would still be fun to watch, lol!

Word of The Day: Evanescence

>> Jul 6, 2010

Evanescence \ev-uh-NES-ens\, noun:

1. A gradual disappearance.
2. The state of becoming imperceptible.

Examples:
This is one of the most beautiful circumstances connected with water surface, for by these means a variety of color and a grace and evanescence are introduced in the reflection otherwise impossible.
-- John Ruskin, The Works of John Ruskin: Modern painters, v.1-5
But this was an evanescence, and quickly repented of, as it were, by an immitigable look, pinching and shriveling the visage into the momentary semblance of a wrinkled walnut.
-- Herman Melville, Billy Budd, sailor: (an inside narrative)

Evanescence is from Latin evanescere, "to vanish," from e-, "from, out of" + vanescere, "to disappear," from vanus, "empty."

She has given up.

>> Jul 2, 2010

I’m talking about my office mate who has been trying to lose weight for quite sometime already. She said that she has done everything she knew would help her, but sans taking supplements like ephedra diet pills. She’s working out in the gym every morning before going to work, and ate like a bird (cutting down on carbs.) but since I left for myML and until now, she has not reached her desired weight yet. I don’t know what went wrong. She is so disappointed to herself. I just told her to carry on and perhaps add a little more discipline and self-control. There is nothing impossible to a person who is strong-willed, right?

A Loving Wife

I was not able to talk to the husband yesterday. He was not able to answer my emails since he’s got tons of work before him. But he was able to send me one email, apologizing for being offline. He said his workload is giving him headache. Good thing he carries his migraine relief every time. He seems to be over working again. And since I can’t do anything to comfort him I just encourage and send him soothing words. Fulfilling my responsibility as a loving wife. :)
